Global Design Project | Your Disco NEEDS YOU

8:38:00 PM

Hello there are thanks so much for stopping by today. For todays post, Im playing along with the design team over at the Global Design Project. This week, it is a theme challenge. I have included the challenge diagram for the week below;

And, here is the card I ended up with;

The first time I saw the 'Places we Go' stamp, I didn't think it was a globe - I immediately thought it was a disco ball. So, when I saw the inspiration for this week, I thought - PERFECT!

Last week, I posted some photos of some Project Life layouts I did. If you missed the post, click here to see it. I'm telling you about it because there is a card in the Good Vibes collection that I absolutely LOVE! Here it is;

So, I wanted to use that on this card. But, the card is only 2 x 3 and I wanted it larger. So, recreated an A6 version (very close to 4 x 6) using card stock.

I stamped the globe stamp (which for this card, we shall call the disco ball) onto window sheets and punched out. I then punched out some silver card and lightly glued them together and mounted using dimensionals. To create the chain, I used the Rhinestones.

I LOVE the labeled alphabet. It was MUCH easier to use than I expected. I had stamped it straight but then I had the idea of using the duet banner punch and I realigned the letters to follow the shape of the banner.

I then decided it needed a bit more bling so I cut the coloured card down and mounted it on glimmer paper. It is very OTT.
