Dropping in to say HI | Acorny Thanks You | Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop

12:00:00 PM

Im sorry about the minor mishap with this post last Friday. If you dont know what Im talking about - then just ignore this.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Today, I'm having a part in the blog hop with the Stamp Review Crew once again. This is a group of stamping enthusiasts - each blog hop features ONE STAMP SET, thus showing how versatile that particular set it. Have you just arrived here from Tanya Boser's blog?  If so - thanks for visiting!

Today, the hop revolves around a stamp set called 'Acorny Thank You.'

This stamp set is VERY good value. It is just $26 AUD and is Photopolymer, so SUPER easy to use! As you travel around this hop, you will see some AMAZING uses for this set.

My Card

Initially, I saw each of the 'nuts' as faces. So, that was the idea behind my card. I might try that again later, but in this instance, I didn't like it and it ended up in the bin.

But, I loved the shapes. So, I selected three colours and made a card using the shapes.
I started with a piece of whisper white and using Basic Grey Ink, I started stamping.

Then, in the other direction (and using another stamp) I continued stamping in Delightful Dijon. Finally, using crumb cake, I stamped in the other direction using the original stamp.

I then mounted this on a sheet of Basic Grey card stock. I mounted this on a sheet from the Serene Scenery DSP set. Finally, I mounted this on a Basic Grey card.

For the sentiment, I stamped using basic black on a piece of Whisper White. I then cut out a banner in Crumb Cake from the banners framelit set. I then cut a small piece of burlap ribbon and stapled these together and using some foam adhesive strips, I stuck down to the card.

  1. Great card, Bruno! Love the colors you used very masculine and "fallish". The sentiment banner looks great too and love how it's stapled together.
