Lift Me Up | Stamp Review Crew
1:00:00 PMThanks so much for stopping by today. Today, I'm having a part in the blog hop with the Stamp Review Crew once again. This is a group of stamping enthusiasts - each blog hop features ONE STAMP SET, thus showing how versatile that particular set it. Maybe you have arrived here from Nikki Spencers blog?
Today, the hop revolves around the Lift Me Up stamp set - Ive shown a picture of this in its bundle.
The Lift Me Up set will lift you up through the atmosphere and up where the air is clear. The happy blend of images and sentiments make this the perfect pick-me-up kind of stamp set. It contains 16 rubber stamps. But, best of all, it pairs perfectly with the Up & Away set of 15 Thinlits Dies. You can create die-cut hot-air balloons, clouds, and shapes in seconds with Thinlits dies and the Big Shot.
I had ALOT of fun with todays project. Here is what I ended up with;
I used a sheet from the Cupcakes and Carousel designer series paper stack. It teamed fectly with this idea of the hot air balloon. Since I was using this set of paper, I used four colours that all appear on this set.
I love how these colours pair perfectly together. I cut out the two smaller balloons and the three clouds using the colours as shown. Then, using the three colours, I cut out the bands of colour for the large balloon. Then, finally, using the new Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper (from the second release of Sale-a-Bration items which is not yet available), I cut out the large, intricate balloon.
Finally, I stamped the image on a sheet of Very Vanilla and cut out using one of the stitched shape framelits. I then cut out a larger circle using So Saffron.
This was all then mounted onto the DSP which was mounted on a layer of Very Vanilla which was then mounted onto a Bermuda Bay card. There are a few different colours of similar starburst design from this DSP set - I think i will have a go at some other colour combos.
I used a similar layout for a team swap. This was a case (full disclosure - it was almost a copy) from Rosemarie Diehl.
I know you are looking forward to seeing what the rest of the Stamp Review Crew will come up with. Click on the NEXT image below. If you need to go back, click here.
