We have some incredible projects to show you today. What we are MOST excited about is having the talented Mikaela Titheridge from the UK hopping along with us. As an incentive trip achiever last year, we met Mikaela and hubby whilst cruising the Mediterranean.

This pic was taken in Cannes, France. In fact, Kylie and I along with Mikaela and Graham caught the tender vessel across from the ship to pier.

Inspiration

So, not only are we hopping with Mikaela, but the theme for the hop is 'Case-ing Mikaela Titheridge' This is the card I am Case-ing;

There a three things Im casing from this card;

  • Layout - I love the fact that the main element of the card is to the left
  • Background - I love that she made a background

These are the two main elements that I am case-ing. This is the card I ended up with;

I love custom tee! I have used it here and here. Im hoping that it remains in the next annual catalogue.

As in Mikaela's inspiration card, I decided to 'make' a background. But, I didn't want it to dominate, so I used white on white. I cut eat tie using a framelit and trimmed some dimensionals for some visual interest.

So, at this stage, I decided that this was going to be a monochrome card. I am making this card for a good friend of ours who is undergoing some health trials - he is going to love it.

I then stamped the images on white and cut out using the coordinating framelits and mounted using dimensionals (of course).

Finally, I used my favourite design from the DSP stack, this time in Black. I mounted the design on this using dimensionals. Finally, I played with a few locations for the sentiment, but ended up in the bottom right corner of the card.

And, thats it! What do you think?

  9. awww Bruno, I remember that day well and that very photo being taken. What wonderful shared memories we have. Your card made me smile the moment I saw it .... Dimensionals sprang to mind. I love your use of ties and the white on white background that you have so cleverly created. A very simple looking card that's unfussy, but packs a punch nonetheless. Thank you so much for having me hop with you all, I have thoroughly enjoyed it and am flattered that you all found so much inspiration from my blog. Thank you xx
