You're Incredible | Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Case-ing Shannon Lane

Hi, readers - thanks so much for stopping by. We have an awesome Blog Hop today - Make sure you sign up to receive my blog posts via email so you don't miss out. Click here to do it now.
We have some incredible projects to show you today. What we are MOST excited about is having the talented Shannon Lane from Canada hopping along with us.
I made this card for Kylie. She knows I made the card - but she doesn't know its for her. When I think about all that she does - I just think that she is INCREDIBLE. So, this sentiment was PERFECT for her. So, Kylie, THANK-YOU for all you do for our family!
Enough gushing ...... now, the card.
The starting point was the awesome polished-concrete-look sheet of DSP. When I first opened the packet of paper, I was IMMEDIATELY drawn to this sheet because it looks like a flooring that I specified at work (my other life). I have been waiting for an opportunity to use it on a card.
Then, I stamped the cityscape on Basic Grey and then on Smoky Slate and then fussy-cuty this (full disclosure - I cut one of them but then after protesting how much I hate cutting things out like this, I 'volunteered' Kylie to do it for me, which she kindly acquiesced). I then cut a strip of Delighful Dijon which was going to be the base for the sentiment.
I then stamped the super-hero (Kylie) onto Whisper White and coloured using markers (Delightful Dijon and Chocolate Chip). I cut this out using a circle from the Stiched Shape Framelits kit. I was about to mount this onto the card and Kylie suggested the starburst behind it. I thought that was a great idea, so using versamark, I stamped used one of the other stamps from the everyday hero to give some texture. I then cut this out using one of the Layering Circles Framelit.
Last month our valued customers receive some awesome freebies and a handmade thank-you card from Kylie and me. Why? They simply entered the Host Code. It really is that easy!

Inspiration
So, not only are we hopping with Shannon, but the theme for the hop is 'Case-ing Shannon Lane.' This is the card I am Case-ing;
Beautiful card of Shannons. Elements from this card I will use;
- Entire background of card is single sheet of DSP
- Band across bottom
- Circular element on right
Based on this, here is the card I ended up with;

I mounted all of these elements onto the base using both dimensionals and foam adhesive strips (I'm too embarrassed to show you the side view - it would be classified as a parcel if I sent it via Australia Post - haha hahaha).
Thanks for the inspiration Shannon.
