You're The Sweetest | Colour Inkspiration
10:32:00 AMI appreciate you taking the time to stop by today - I know you are all busy people and I'm grateful that you have taken the time to look at my project.
Today, I am entering in a new challenge blog/facebook group - Colour Inkspiration. It's made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia and New Zealand and fortnightly, there will be a different colour challenge released and everybody is invited to 'have a go' at the colour challenge. So, that's what I have done today. Here is the ink-spiration image;
Whoah! There was a colour that I have never used before (like EVER - I'm talking about you Garden Green) and Wisteria Wonder - we use the stamp pad so infrequently that it is still the old style of ink pads. But, that's why it's called a challenge.....
Here is the card I ended up with;
I have been wanting to use this Sale-a-Bration item since it arrived at our home and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. For some reason, when I saw this colour combo, I thought of ice-cream.
To make the stripe background, I stamped the long strip stamp from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. I then cropped this piece of cardstock closely and mounted on a piece of whisper white.
I then stamped the truck, coloured in with Stampin' Write Markers and cut out. I stamped the sentiment onto the Wisteria Wonder strip on the truck.
I also stamped the ground part of the truck stamp onto the striped background.
I used some of the Garden Green enamel shapes on the hubcaps. I mounted this onto the striped background and then mounted this onto a piece of whisper white. I was looking for something to run across the bottom and found a washi from the Affectionately Yours Washi collection.
Finally, I mounted this onto a Mint Macaron card base.
