Hot on the heels of the last post, this blog post continues from where we left off. And, to keep things moving, here are three (yep, you heard it correctly THREE) double page spreads. Like most times, the pages that I like the most are the ones that took the least time - can you relate to that?

Background
As above, this DSP is from the Soho Subway Designer Kit.
Embellishments
Both the speech bubble and the 'Like' are from the 'Seriously Teen' designer kit. This kit has a designer template, 38 stamps, 12 sheets of DSP and 23 embellishments. Click on the link below to purchase.
Stamps
There are two stamps in use;
1. The 'Smile' is from the 'So Typefelt' set. It is coloured Whisper White and the opacity is set to 25%.
2. The large chevron shape is actually a stamp washi tape from the 'Tape It' set. It has been enlarged, coloured Whisper White and the opacity is set to 10%.

I began with one of the 'Check this out' designer page layouts.

Punches
I say that I started out with the 'Check this Out' layout as I made a few changes to the size of a few of the photoboxes. This template has chamfered corner punches which are filled with either photos or DSP. There are 17 different shaped punches that come with this kit, three of which are used on this layout. The DSP used to fill some of these boxes is also from the Kaleidoscope range.
Additionally, I gave each of the photos a 3mm mat (border) as well as a 3,3 drop shadow.

Template
Again, I began with one of the 'Check this out' designer page layouts.
Background
Again, I made a few changes to the size of a few of the photoboxes and I gave each of the photos a 3mm mat (border) as well as a 3,3 drop shadow. Additionally, I inserted a square punch and supersized it and placed it on an angle to mirror the design on the left page. I then filled the punch with Bermuda Bay to match.
Embellishments
I used the 'Circle Label' embellishment from the 'Daily December Memories' kit.
Stamp
I used the 'Overlay 3' stamp from the Kaleidoscope set. This was painted Whisper White and the opacity was set to 25%.

Layout
I started with a blank page on both pages. I wanted the photos to be the stars. And, I think they are.
Embellishments
I used the Basic Black and Vanilla 'Stitching Zigzag' from the Staple & Stitching Kit. The opacity is set to 40%. These also have been set to 'Span Pages'.
Stamps
I used the 'Overlay 2' stamp from the Kaleidoscope set. This was painted Whisper White and the opacity was set to 55%. This has been set to 'Span Pages'. Even though this is purchased as a set of DSP, there are some stamps that can be coloured as you wish.

So, here they are. But, first, I have to warn you - THIS IS A LONG BLOG POST!!!
Page 34 and 35
One of the things that we saw when we arrived at the manufacturing facility was Shelli's vacation home. It was really weird to walk in her kitchen, in her bedroom, in her bathroom. Kylie was feeling really sick that day, so rather than posing for alot of photos, she was the chief photographer today. And, I gave her alot to take photos of ...... sorry Shelli - I didnt mean to sit on your toilet or open your fridge or lay on your bed. lol.

Further to the journalling on the page - we both expected the facility to be a polished manufacturing line with very few staff and machines that did EVERYTHING! That certainly was not the case. Sure, there were limited staff, and the staff loved what they did. But alot of the tasks are performed by hand. The rubber stamps are torn of the mould BY HAND, they are cut with a HAND operated guillotine, they are place in the dvd cover BY HAND, the ink pads are mixed in a large mixer similar to what you would see in a bakery. The inked pad is stuck in the case by hand. The plastic cover is placed on by hand. Im still amazed that such high quality products are made with so much human interaction - and so fast!!! It also makes the hand-made element of the end result (ie. the card) so much more meaningful.

This layout took less than five minutes and is one of my favourites.
In case you wanted to know, here is the 'recipe' for these layouts. Ive also included a link to my store to purchase some of the items used on the layout.

Stamps
There are 2 stamps used on this layout;
- The 'Chevron - 1 simple' from the Chevron Designer Kit. This is coloured Whisper White with the opacity set to 20%.
- The 'Downtown Grunge - drawn lines 1' from the Downtown Grunge Designer Photobook Kit. This is coloured Basic Grey. While this cannot be purchased individually, there are some really neat stamps that come with this set.

Behind the text, I inserted a square punch and resized to fit the shape of the text. I coloured the punch using the picker tool and colour sampled the blue in the background. It is closest to Island Indigo.
The font used is 'Always Forever' which was downloaded from the internet.
