Todays card is a theme challenge from the Global Design Project and a colour challenge over at the Paper Players. Here are the inspiration diagrams;


And, here is the card that I ended up with;


I really enjoyed making this card. I actually didn't have anything planned for this card and made it up as I went along. I used three sets of framelits (Deco Labels, Sunburst and Circles), two punches (2 circles) and one stamp set (Oh My Goodies). All of these are available from my store below.


I love how the dimensionals give depth - I have five layers (sorry, Kylie - I think we might need some more as I used HEAPS).


I love the effect of the sunburst framelit cut into a circle over another circle.

Hello there and thanks for joining me today. Im doubling up on challenges today. Im playing along with a colour challenge over at the Paper Players and a sketch challenge over at along with the team at the Retro Sketches. Below are the inspiration diagrams for this week;

Things I love about this card;

Designer Series Paper Stacks - I've raved about these in the past. On this card, I have used three different colour sheets of the same design. Everything aligns, everything is great. I love them.


Project Life by Stampin' Up! Cards - The love heart in the middle is a card from the 'Moments Like These' set. I thought the design was perfect, so I cut it out using a circle framelit and 'voila!' It actually felt like cheating, but it saved a HEAP of time.


Silver Cording Trim - This is the perfect thickness.


Colours - The colours were determined by the challenge. But, i chose the Mint Macaron based on the card that I selected from the PLxSU card. Ive assembled an image below that showcases the card and the colours.

Today, Im playing along with the Paper Players for the first time. Here is the inspiration for the week;


And, here is my card.


Since the theme was Clean and Simple - I wanted to really try and see how simple I can make a card. And, Im really happy with how it turned out.

Things I love about this card

Framelits - I used two framelits from two separate framelit kits. Used in conjunction with the magnetic plate, the cut on the framelit is perfect. The leaf is so detailed. My wife Kylie made a card on another challenge blog that used the same 'Leaflets' framelits kit. Click here to have a lool.


Linen Thread - Ive spoken about how much I love this before. Its amazing. It gives an instant rustic feel.


Simplicity - I stamped one image. I cut two shapes out of framelits. The other pieces or cardboard were precut offcuts that I just slightly trimmed to fit.


Colours - the colours selected are distinctly autumn. Ive put together an image below to show the colours used on this card.
