2013 Stampin' Up! Grand Holiday - MDS Photobook Layout 1 - Inside Cover

As you have no doubt seen - we had an AWESOME time away in North America. We have so many many memories (and 4,452 photos over 44 days). Slowly, we have been working through the photos. Ill be honest - some of them are duds. But, some of them are awesome. Bruno is slowly adding them to our Flickr account so if you are a flickr member, you can search under mynameisbrunob and look. In the meantime, together we are putting together a 12 x 12 MDS project of our trip.
Here is page 1. Its not the cover. We need inspiration from the full trip before we make a cover.

Here is page 1. Its not the cover. We need inspiration from the full trip before we make a cover.
Here is the recipe;
- Layout - I started with a blank page for this one
- Background Paper - from the Soho Subway Range
- Photo Border - from the 'Do Your Best' range and is the 'Grey and White' border. It is accessible from the Embellishments tab.
- Stamp Set - World Map stamp set, coloured in 'Yoyo Yellow', 80% Opacity
- Punch - Chevron Border Punch, coloured in 'Tempting Turquoise', 25% Opacity
- Text - Font 'Archistico' downloaded from the internet, size 68 and rotated to match the photo
- Embellishments - Bruno kept every receipt, boarding pass and luggage tag. We scanned and resized them and made them slightly opaque so they didn't dominate.
To keep the photo and the photo border together, we used the 'Group' feature and played with the 'Send Backward' and 'Bring Forward' accessible via right-click. Stay tuned for more pages in coming days. This will be a long-term project. This layout took no more than 20 minutes. It made me inspired to do more.
