Good morning, good afternoon or good evening - whatever time it is where you are I want to say thanks so much for stopping by and joining us this month for our Mediterranean Achievers Blog-Hop. The Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world involved in this hop achieved the Mediterranean Cruise this past May. And, my amazing wife Kylie Bertucci was one of those. So, technically, I am not an 'achiever.' However, I am a Supporting Stampin' Up! Demonstrator makes me a 'co-achiever.'  The theme of this hop is ...... drumroll ......

THANKFULNESS!

There are many things that we can be thankful for. But, since this is a blog hop around the Grand Vacation, this is one thing that i want to say thanks for. Kylie achieved enough points for the trip a few months ago but we just decided this week that we would be going to Thailand. So, THANKS Kylie for working so hard to achieve a free holiday! And, of course, THANKS Stampin' Up! for offering such an AWESOME incentive.

My Card

So, when the Annual Catalogue was released, I there was a project kit that immediately caught my attention - the Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit. The Kit includes enough bags, boxes, tags, and accents to create 16 personalized packages (4 each of 4 designs).

When we first received the kit, Kylie made two of each of the items. She even made a video

But after that, I kept on noticing that the rest of the kit remained in the box. And, every time I looked at it, I thought 'Those leftover pieces would make a really nice card.' So, I made three different designs, one of which I will show you today.

I started with a black card. The kraft paper is normally used for a paper bag. I cut it out and mounted it onto the card. It was a nice base.

The next layer is normally used inside the cellophane bag. I think the patterns are so awesome. I simply flattened this piece and stuck it down.

The other elements are pre-cut and you just have to pop them out of the card stock. I cut a the sequin trim and 'leaves' and mounted them to the card.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment on the White card stock and mounted that on the top.

What do you think of the alternative use of this project kit? The kits are so so awesome - all you will need are the kite, adhesive, ink and a stamp set. But, if you have some leftover pieces (and invariably you will - why not try using them in alternative ways?
