Blog Hop

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Today, I'm having a part in the blog hop with the Stamp Review Crew once again. This is a group of stamping enthusiasts - each blog hop features ONE STAMP SET, thus showing how versatile that particular set it.

Today, the hop revolves around a stamp set called 'Paisleys and Posies.'

This is a modern twist on a classic shape. It isn't your grandmother's paisley pattern - though she'd definitely like it. When i first saw this, I wasn't sold. But, I really like it now.

Here are the colours I started with - I was inspired to use the Cajun Craze after looking at a piece of designer series paper (which I ended up using).

Here is the project I ended up with;

I wanted to keep the card very simple. I like the paisley flower most of the images. And, the sentiment is great too. I had planned to use more of the images with more cut-outs using the framelits. But, in the end, I liked it with only one.

Confession - the oval element was unplanned. You see, I made the mistake of stamping the sentiment on the card AFTER I had stuck it down. And, of course, it stamped VERY badly. So, I introduced this element and I rather like how it ended up.

I really appreciate you stopping by today. Want to make sure you don't miss any of my posts? Click here to receive them by email.

  1. Super card, Bruno! Looks like we were on the same page with our paper and stamps this time. I love the Crumb Cake with the DSP and the offset stamped image with the cut out. We'd have never known of your goof it you didn't tell, I love the oval!

  2. I love how the DSP is the base panel, and the focal panel is cardstock. The die cut and recessed image, and the popped sentiment add a wonderful balance to the card.

  6. Great card! I like how you used the DSP for the base and made the card stock the focal point. The oval looks great too.
