Thanks so much for stopping by today. As mentioned in my previous post, Kylie and I moved house. The first couple of days in the house were INTENSE. Here in Melbourne, the mercury was around 40 degrees (104F) and our new place didnt have any cooling (I know, first world problem). And, of course, due to the break, no AC businesses were open. Seriously, I would have paid ANYTHING to have cooling on those few days. We ended up having a friend installing AC and I am sitting here on the kitchen bench blogging this card in comfort.

Today, I made a card  having a part in the blog for the Fab Friday challenge blog. Here is the sketch that my card is based on;

We have some incredible projects to show you today. What we are MOST excited about is having the talented Lisa Curcio from the US hopping along with us. We first met Lisa and her husband Bob in Hawaii in 2015 and then again in Europe in 2016.


This picture was taken onboard the Norwegian Epic somewhere in the Mediterranean with Lisa, Bob and their daughter Gina. We look forward to seeing them again in Thailand.

Inspiration

So, not only are we hopping with Lisa, but the theme for the hop is 'Case-ing Lisa Curcio.'

It is mainly the layout of the card that I am case-ing. Here is the card that I ended up with;


Have you received the new 2017 Catalogue yet? The stamp set I used is found in the catalogue - its called Cool Treats and has a matching framelit kit.

Using three different coloured Ombre ink pads I stamped the ice-cream. I then stamped the top layer of the ice-cream using black and then cut out the top part of the ice-cream using the coordinating framelit.


For the cone, I used the coordinating coloured card stock for the top layer and then crumb cake underneath. I then mounted the cones onto the 'strip' layer using dimensionals. I used foam adhesive strips for the ice cream part (these are higher).

I LOVE this sentiment. I love the font. I love it! I stamped it on white and used scissors to cut.

I started by stamping the jar image from the Vintage Leaves stamp set in VersaMark on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I clear embossed this image.
