Thanks so much for stopping by today. Today, I'm having a part in the challenge blog Global Design Project. This week, it is a sketch challenge - here is the challenge diagram.
As you might know, my awesome wife Kylie is one of the design team. Here is her card for this weeks sketch challenge. Oh, and here is mine;
I LOVE the Labeler Alphabet stamp set. When I first saw it, it took me back to my childhood. We had a handheld orange labeler, similar to this;
I remember as a kid when I first learned how to use this - I labeled EVERYTHING! I would label a book as 'BOOK' and in the pantry - I would label everything....
So, this was one of the first stamp sets I chose from the annual catalogue. And, since it was on the table after Kylie used it for her GDP card, I decided that I would use it too!
The great thing about this lettering set - there are multiples of most letters. In real terms - if I want to stamp HELLO, I can do it in ONE GO, rather than H - E - L - _ - O and then go back and stamp the second L. I decided to use the HELLO stamped multiple times as a background.
I used the additional HELLO stamp from the Pop of Paradise stamp. I really wanted it to stand out, so I used it in real red. In assembling the card, I used Foam Adhesive strips and dimensionals to make it stand out (literally).
I added two banners and some thick bakers twine for some visual interest. Oh, and you might notice that it is skinnier than the normal size. No reason for this - it just looked better that way.
What to you think?
Since its inception ago, we have given away more than a hundred stamp sets to our valued customers. Why? They simply entered the Host Code. Its that easy!
