Allison Okamitsu from Calgary, AB, Canada.
We haven't met Allison in person. But, Allison will be on the incentive trip this May, so Im looking forward to meeting her on the Norwegian Epic in Barcelona (thanks Shelli). According to Kylie, we earned the incentive trip on the amount of dimensionals that I used on my cards - that made me laugh!!!

Card Inspiration
Here is the particular card of Allisons that I have chosen to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit)What I love about this card.....
Layout - I love the simplicity of this layout
Watercolo(u)r Paper - I love that only the highlighted portion of the card is made from watercolour paper
Linen Thread - Of all on the embellishments available through SU - this would have to be my fave
So, I cased all of the above. In fact, this should probably be called a copy.... hahahahah!!!!
My Card
So, here is the card that I ended up with;
You can see the main design elements have been inspired by Allisons card.
I have been wanting to use the Apple of My Eye stamp set for ages and this was a perfect opportunity.
Did you notice that the fruit is actually mis-stamped? You know how sometimes there is too much ink on the ink pad? Well, I actually like the effect that having too much ink on the ink pad on watercolour paper. Initially, I re-stamped it but ended up using the original stamped image.
I love the simplicity of the sentiment too. Its from the Perfect Pairings set. This is a Sale-a-Bration set which is only available FREE with every $90 spent in my online store. REMEMBER - Sale-a-Bration is only running until the end of March, so if you don't want to miss this - GET IT NOW!!!
This was a fun card to make - thanks for the inspiration Allison and look forward to meeting you .... in Barcelona.

ReplyDeleteGreat card, Bruno! Your coloring on the fruit is wonderful. I was playing with that set yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYour stamping on this card looks like the fruit is painted on textured canvas...I really like how the colors blend to give it an aged look on the pear. Loving this BLOG!
