EDIT:

Wanna know something cool about this post? It was selected as a ROCK Star from the Retro Sketches design team!!!

Something else that is really cool is that Kylie was selected by the design team also. Wanna know about the challenges I enter? Check out my CHALLENGES page.

ORIGINAL POST:

Im back - did you miss me? This is a VERY exciting card for me for 2 reasons;

1. Im playing along with Retro Sketches again and this challenge blog is one of my favourites
2. I LOVE the card! Like really, really, really LOVE the card!

Anyway, here is the sketch;

And, here is the card I ended up with;

I couldn't quite decide on which DSP to use - so I made my own!

So, how did I do it?
Well, if there is enough interest, I'll SHOW you how i made it by making a video. if you are keen to see it, comment below.

But, put in simple terms, I cut thin strips of the coloured card stock and then assembled and stuck it on an angle on a piece of card stock. I then cut that piece of card stock into strips. I then repeated that process but had the angle going in the opposite direction. I then assembled the cut strips to form the pattern shown.

As you can see by the detail above, it doesn't quite line up. But, I think that adds to the visual interest.

I stamped the sentiment and banner from the same set. Click here to buy it from our store 24/7. The sentiment is white embossed on Bermuda Bay and then layered with a layer of white and Vellum underneath. The banner is white embossed on Vellum and cut to size to fit.

I used basically all of the colours from the Brights range. Below is an image showing which colours were used;

So, would you like to see a video? If you would, please comment below.

Is there anything else we can help you with? Please contact me if you need any other information or have any questions.
