Stamping Sunday Blog Hop | Colour Theory Suite

6:00:00 PM

Good Morning. Or Good Afternoon. Or Good Evening.
Today Im sharing in a Blog Hop hosted by Sara Levin. This hop is featuring one of the product suites from the brand new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue called Colour Theory. Do you want to learn more about what is in the Colour Theory Suite? Here is a short video for you to watch.

Before I share the project I made, I want to share the products that I used on the project. If you would like to purchase them, please click on the image below and buy them from my store right now.

Project 1

While most of the images in the promotional material focus on using the designer series paper, I wanted to try something different. If you have been following my blog for some time, you will know that I am a fan of repetitive stamping. So, I thought I would give it a go on this one too. Here is the project I ended up with.

I firstly started off with a layer of the 'skeleton' leaves stamped in Old Olive. Then, over the top of those, I stamped a layer of the 'Canada' leaves in Crushed Curry.

Don't you love the beautiful delicate framelits? I have a feeling I will be using these alot. I cut three of these out and stuck down with the fine-tip glue pen.

I then stamped the sentiment with Versamark and white embossed on a piece of Sahara Sand. I added a strip of the new Mini-Chevron Ribbon and mounted the sentiment over this.

Finally, I mounted this on a Saraha Sand card. I really like how this card turned out.

Project 2

Yesterday, I was in the city. It was bitterly cold. I wore thermals and a heavy jacket. But, I was still cold. So, I bought a pair of gloves as well. I also wanted to buy a scarf but I couldn't find any in the store I went to.

Now, we have spoken about how cold I was yesterday, let talk about my second project...

Next month, we are off to Thailand on vacation which I am VERY much looking forward to. This isn't just ANY trip - it is an all expenses paid incentive trip from Stampin' Up! which Kylie earned (she has already earned the NEXT incentive trip to Alaska). This trip is just going to be to RELAX. We have been to Thailand before and seen many of the sights in Phuket so we are truly just going to try to take it easy and relax in the sunshine .... by the pool ..... with a cocktail.

Do you like the sentiment? It is from the Colour Theory Pack from Stampin' Up! new memory keeping line called Memories and More. Want to learn more about Memories and More? Here is a short video for you to watch.

I trimmed the card down slightly to be able to fit the deckchairs in. I then stamped the chair (its 2-step stamping) in Berry Burst and Dapper Denim. I did my LEAST favourite thing and 'fussy cut' the deck chair (anyone think a framelit would be handy for this?) and stuck it on using dimensionals.

Finally, I stamped the drink using Berry Burst and cut out using the coordinating framelit. I stuck this down with the brand new Mini-Dimensionals. Do you have them yet? They are AMAZING! They are perfect to use on tiny little elements like this.

And, they are my two projects for today.

  1. Bruno, the background you created on your first card is stunning! And yes I do like that sentiment on the second card -- thank you for pointing out it's a Memories and More card as I would have been hunting for it.
