POST:

Why, hello. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I know you are busy so it mean a lot that you have stopped by. Thanks so much for that. Now, on with the show ......

Today, Im playing along with the TGIF Challenge. Ill be honest - I tend to prefer colour challenges over layout challenges ..... sometimes. This was a challenge. Here is the inspiration;

Additionally, Kylie gave me the challenge of using a particular stamp-set. Challenge accepted! When I looked over at the design teams work, they were all amazing and the colours worked really well, so I was eager to get on to this card. After a few versions, here is the card I came up with;

This is far from the card I had in my mind when I started. The inspiration was someone going scuba diving. The plant life under water is vibrant and full of colours and I wanted to give the impression of it moving in the water. I guess it sort-of does that. lol!

I added a circle from the Neutrals colour set just to tone it down. The super-thin washi tape is from the Accessories pack from the Project Life by Stampin' Up! 'This is the Life' range. It is perfect for the look I was achieving. If you have seen my cards before, you will know that I am a real fan of Vellum. I love how it is 'there, but not really there.' Do you use it?

I used the Aqua Painters for the background, but there wasn't much 'Aqua' used. lol. The sentiment is from the 'Words of Truth' set embossed in white.
