2013 Stampin' Up! Grand Holiday - MDS Photobook Layout 7 | Salt Lake City

Hey everyone! It's Bruno here (Kylie's supportive husband) I am enjoying using the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio to make a photo book of our trip with Stampin' Up! last year. It was definitely a Grand Holiday that was for sure. Kylie and I have made other pages this is layout number 7 - check out the other ones we designed by clicking HERE.
Salt Lake City is an absolutely beautiful city. We didn't get to see alot of the city because most of the time was spent at the Stampin' Up! Convention at the Salt palace. But what we did see was beautiful. This spread is just a sampling of the pictures we took.
Here are pages 12 and 13. They are designed as a double page spread, so here they both are;

We didn't have any bad weather when we were there. We both suffered from altitude sickness. In case you didn't read the blog post about it, the link is here. Kylie was sick for most of the time we were in SLC and I was sick for the second part of the time we spent in Deer Valley. Enough about that - this is a blog post about MDS.
Page 12 - Left Page
- Template - I started from a template in the 'Daily December Memories' set. This set is for an 8x8 photobook so it automatically transposes to a 12x12 when inserted. The template starts with a different background and a few embellishments, and one less photo.
- Background Colour - I did a colour sample from the DSP selected from the 'Daily December Memories' sheet. It is closest to 'Smoky Slate.'
- Punches - The DSP rectangle is actually a punch that has been resized. It comes as a part of the template. To change the DSP, all I had to do was select the box and on the right panel under 'Paper Fill' and make the selection. As a part of the 'Daily December Memories' set, there is a series of 12 sheets. I selected one of them.
- Photos - As mentioned above, the main photos is a part of the template. Two of the smaller photos are also a part of the template. The third one was formerly filled with DSP. As mentioned above, it is actually a square punch. To fill with a photo, all I had to do was select the box and on the right panel under 'Photo Fill' and make the selection.
- Embellishments - There were alot as a part of the template. I removed them all. From the 'Get It Done' set, I used the 'Graph Paper' and did some journalling on it. The lines across the page are a part of the 'Daily December Memories' template.
- Stamps - From the 'Wanderlust' set, I used the 'This Way.' This is coloured 'Bermuda Bay' and the opacity is set to 60%. From the 'Amped Up Ampersands' set, I used the 'Today.' This also is coloured 'Bermuda Bay' and the opacity is set to 60%.
- Font - I downloaded the font called 'MV Boli.' The colour of the font is black.
This page is an exact copy of the layout previous page, with the exception of all of the photos are different (obviously), one extra photo box added and the stamps are removed. The fountains were just beautiful.
We may go back to Salt Lake City one day. Since the Home Office for Stampin' Up! is there, I'd say that would be on the cards in the future.
