2013 Stampin' Up! Grand Holiday - MDS Photobook Layout 6 | Stampin' Up! Convention After Party

5:18:00 PM

At the end of the program for Saturday Evening, there was an AWESOME party at convention. There was a cool 80's covers band. If you watch the highlights video published by Stampin Up (here), you can see my husband and I tearing up the dancefloor (see 4:33 on the attached clip).

Here are pages 10 and 11. They are designed as a double page spread, so here they are;

We had alot of fun that night. I think the song 'Dont Stop Believing' has shot to the top of my husbands list of songs to sing at the top of his voice. Dont Believe me? Here is proof.

  • Template - I started from a template in the 'A Split Second' set. The template starts with a different background and a few embellishments.
  • Background Colour - I did a colour sample from one of the 'Then and Now' Designer Series Paper sheets. It is closest to 'Soft Suede.'
  • Photos - the long photo was a panorama shot. So, I enlarged it so that it covers both pages and set the opacity to 90%. I set this opacity as different to make the photo above stand out. As mentioned above, the main three photos were a part of the template. I recoloured one of the frames. The additional photos were just simple 'drag and drop' additions.
  • Embellishments - These were a part of the template. I removed some of them.
  • Font - I downloaded the font called 'Rabiohead.' The colour of the font is white. The lines that the text is placed over is a part of the template.

Yes, we met Sara. As it turns out, we were able to meet her a few more times over the next week.
  • Template - I started from a template in the 'A Split Second' set. The template starts with a different background and a few embellishments.
  • Background - This is one of the sheets from the 'Then and Now' Designer Series Paper set.
  • Photos - the long photo was a panorama shot. So, I enlarged it so that it covers both pages and set the opacity to 90%. The other two photograph borders were a part of the template. I recoloured both of the borders.
  • Embellishments - The flags were a part of the template. I recolored the top one and removed the bottom one. I removed some of them. I also removed the text that the template came with. I inserted two different size Chevron punch shapes and recoloured them.
  • Font - I downloaded the font called 'Rabiohead.' The colour of the font is black.

That was such a great night - it was difficult to limit the photographs to two pages.
